Queensland Hospital and Health Boards Amendment Act 2014 Act No. 15 of 2014 An Act to amend the Hospital and Health Boards Act 2011 for particular purposes [Assented to 9 April 2014]

Hospital and Health Boards Amendment Act 2014 [s 1] The Parliament of Queensland enacts— 1 Short title This Act may be cited as the Hospital and Health Boards Amendment Act 2014 . 2 Act amended This Act amends the Hospital and Health Boards Act 2011 . 3 Amendment of s 51C (Relationship between health employment directives and other instruments) Section 51C(3) and (4)— omit, insert — (3) If a health employment directive is inconsistent with a high-income guarantee contract, the high-income guarantee contract prevails over the health employment directive to the extent of the inconsistency. (4) However, for subsection (3), to the extent a health employment directive provides for an increase in remuneration or other benefits for an employee, the directive is taken not to be inconsistent with a high-income guarantee contract. (5) Subsections (3) and (4) apply despite section 51E. (6) In this section— health employment directive includes— (a) a decision made in the exercise of a discretion under the directive; and (b) a health service directive to which section 321 applies. (2) However, subsection (1) does not apply to the extent an employment regulation purports to provide for an increase in remuneration or other benefits for the employee.
