ACT
To
amend the Honey Levy Act (No. 1) 1962–1965
in relation to Metric Conversion.

BE
IT ENACTED by the Queen, the Senate and the House of Representatives of
Australia, as follows:—
Short
title and citation.
1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Honey Levy Act (No, 1) 1973.
(2) The Honey
Levy Act (No. 1) 1962–1965 is in
this Act referred to as the Principal Act.
(3) The Principal Act, as amended by this Act,
may be cited as the Honey Levy Act (No. 1) 1962–1973.
Rate
of levy.
2.Section
5 of the Principal Act is amended—
(a) by omitting from sub-section (1) the words “Five-twelfths
of a cent per pound” and substituting the words “Nine-tenths of a cent per
kilogram”; and
(b) by omitting from sub-section (2) the words “One
cent per pound” and substituting the words “Two and two-tenths cents per
kilogram”.
Exemptions.
3.Section
6a of the Principal Act is amended
by omitting from sub-section (1) the words “one hundred and twenty pounds” and
substituting the words “fifty kilograms”.
