Honey Export Charge (Rate of Charge) Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, and having taken into consideration the recommendations made to the Minister for Primary Industries and Energy by the Federal Council of Australian Apiarists’ Associations with respect to the rate of charge to be prescribed for the purpose of subsection 7 (1) of the Honey Export Charge Act 1973, make the following Regulations under that Act.

1.   Commencement

1.1   These Regulations commence on 1 January 1994.

2.   Amendment

2.1   The Honey Export Charge (Rate of Charge) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.   Regulation 3A (Rate prescribed for the purposes of paragraph 7 (1) (a) of the Act)

3.1   Omit the regulation.

4.   Regulation 4 (Rate prescribed for the purposes of paragraph 7 (1) (b) of the Act)

4.1   Omit the regulation, substitute:

Rate prescribed for the purposes of subsection 7 (1) of the Act

“4.

For the purposes of subsection 7 (1) of the Honey Export Charge Act 1973, the prescribed rate of levy:

  • (a)

    for honey exported on or after 1 January 1994, is 0.57 cent per kilogram of honey; and

  • (b)

    for honey exported on or after 1 January 1995, is 0.61 cent per kilogram of honey; and

  • (c)

    for honey exported on or after 1 January 1996, is 0.65 cent per kilogram of honey.”.
