HOMELESS PERSONS ASSISTANCE REGULATIONS - SECT. 1.
Citation
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Homeless Persons Assistance
Regulations.*1*

HOMELESS PERSONS ASSISTANCE REGULATIONS - SECT. 2.
Commencement
2. These Regulations shall be deemed to have come into operation on 13
December 1974.
HOMELESS PERSONS ASSISTANCE REGULATIONS - SECT. 3.
Interpretation
3. In these Regulations, ''Act'' means the Homeless Persons Assistance Act
1974.
HOMELESS PERSONS ASSISTANCE REGULATIONS - SECT. 4.
Rate for purposes of sub-section 9 (1) of Act

4. For the purposes of sub-section 9 (1) of the Act, in respect of a day on
which food and accommodation are provided for homeless persons at a homeless
persons assistance centre operated by or on behalf of an eligible
organization, the rate is $1.20 for each homeless person to whom food and
accommodation are so provided on that day.

Rate for purposes of sub-section 10 (1) of Act

5. For the purposes of sub-section 10 (1) of the Act, in respect of a day on
which meals are provided for homeless persons at a homeless persons assistance
centre operated by or on behalf of an eligible organization, the rate is 40
cents for each meal provided on that day to a homeless person for whom that
organization does not provide accommodation on that day.
HOMELESS PERSONS ASSISTANCE REGULATIONS - SECT. 6.
Remuneration of member of committee
6. Remuneration is payable to a member of a committee at the rate of $35 in
respect of each day on which he performs the duties of his office.
HOMELESS PERSONS ASSISTANCE REGULATIONS - SECT. 7.
Travelling allowance of member of committee
7. (1) Where a member of a committee is, in the course of performing the
duties of his office, necessarily absent overnight from the city in which he
ordinarily resides, travelling allowance is payable to him in respect of the
period of his absence.
(2) Travelling allowance is payable under sub-regulation (1) at the rate of
$25 per day.
(3) Travelling allowance payable under this regulation is in addition to,
and does not include, the cost of conveyance.
