I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, A.C., Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council and pursuant to Section 2 of the Home Purchase Assistance Authority 1993, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1st July, 1993, as the day on which that Act commences.

* The proclamation appointed 1.7.1993 as the date of commencement. Pursuant to s. 23 (5) of the Interpretation Act 1987, the proclamation does not fail merely because it was not published in the Gazette until after the day appointed in the proclamation, but s. 23 (5) provides, in that event, for the Act to commence on the day on which the proclamation was published in the Gazette.
