HOME BUILDING CONTRACTS AMENDMENT REGULATIONS (No. 2) 1998

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.
Citation
1. These regulations may be cited as the Home Building Contracts Amendment

Regulations (No. 2) 1998.

Principal regulations

2. In these regulations the Home Building Contracts Regulations 1992* are referred to

as the principal regulations.

Regulation 7 inserted

3.   After regulation 6 of the principal regulations the following regulation is inserted —

Prescribed minimum amount for the purposes of section 25A
7. For the purposes of section 25A of the Act, the minimum amount is prescribed

to be $12 000.

Schedule 1 amended
4. Schedule 1 of the principal regulations is amended in the paragraphs after the heading

"Home Indemnity Insurance" by deleting "$10 000" where twice occurring and

substituting in each case the following —

" $12000 ".

Schedule 4 amended

5. Schedule 4 of the principal regulations is amended in clause 18 (h) of the "GENERAL CONDITIONS OF CONTRACT" by deleting "$10000" and substituting the following — " $12000 ".

Schedule 5 amended

6.   Schedule 5 of the principal regulations is amended —

(a) in clause 1 of the "CONDITIONS APPLYING TO THIS CONTRACT" by deleting

"$10 000" and substituting the following —

" $12000 ";and

(b) in clause 3 of the "CONDITIONS APPLYING TO THIS CONTRACT" by deleting

"$10 000" and substituting the following —

" $12000 ".
