Home Building Amendment (Relevant

Law) Regulation 2010

Home Building Act 1989

Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Home Building Act 1989.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to update certain references to the Gas Supply Act 1996 and the Gas Supply (Consumer Safety) Regulation 2004 as a consequence of the consolidation of regulatory requirements relating to gasfitting work.

This Regulation is made under the Home Building Act 1989, including the definition of relevant law in section 3 (1) and section 140 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Home Building Amendment (Relevant Law)
Regulation 2010.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the
NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Home Building Regulation 2004

Clause 7 Definition of “relevant law”

Omit clause 7 (a). Insert instead:

(a)

gasfitting work:

(i)	Gas Supply Act 1996
(ii)	Gas Supply (Consumer Safety) Regulation 2004
