His Excellency the Lieutenant-Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Home Building Act 1989.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to amend the Home Building Regulation 2004 to ensure references in that regulation to a person being authorised by a contractor licence or a certificate to contract to do, or to do, LP gasfitting work or advanced LP gasfitting work means the person is authorised to contract to do, or to do, gasfitting work within the meaning of the Gas Supply Act 1996.

This Regulation is made under the Home Building Act 1989, including section 140 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Home Building Amendment Regulation 2010.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on 3 September 2010 and is required to be published on the NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Home Building Regulation 2004

Schedule 5 Extended descriptions of work authorised by contractor licences or certificates

Omit “Dangerous Goods (Gas Installations) Regulation 1998” wherever occurring in Column 2 of the Table to Schedule 5.

Insert instead “Gas Supply Act 1996”.
