Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Home Building Act 1989.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to amend the Home Building Regulation 2004:
| (a) | to specify the fees in respect of a new building supervisor certificate for an individual for a term of 3 years (previously for a term of only 1 year), and |
| (b) | to increase (from $20 to $21) the fee for a certificate under section 131 (Certificate evidence) of the Home Building Act 1989 (the Act), and |
| (c) | to increase the application fees payable in connection with the administration of the Act. |
The fee increases are generally in line with movements in the Consumer Price Index (rounded
to the nearest dollar).
This Regulation is made under the Home Building Act 1989, including sections 19, 24, 30 and
140 (the general regulation-making power).

1 Name of Regulation
This Regulation is the Home Building Amendment (Fees) Regulation
2012.
2 Commencement
(1)
Except as provided by subclause (2), this Regulation commences on 28 May 2012 and is required to be published on the NSW legislation website.
(2) Schedule 2 commences on 1 July 2012.
