No 56—Proclamation

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 (1) of the Home Building Amendment Act 2000, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 10 August 2001 as the day on which Schedule 1 [2] to that Act commences.

Explanatory note

The object of this proclamation is to commence Schedule 1 [2] to the Home Building Amendment Act 2000 which clarifies that the maximum penalty for a breach of section 96 (1) of the Home Building Act 1989 is 100 penalty units (currently $11,000).
