An Act to amend the Holidays Act 1958

[Notified in ACT Gazette No. 50: 15 December 1999]

The Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory enacts as follows:

  1. Name of Act

    This Act is the Holidays Amendment Act 1999.

  2. Commencement

    This Act commences on the day it is notified in the Gazette.

  3. Act amended

    This Act amends the Holidays Act 1958.

  4. Public holidays

    Section 3 is amended by inserting after subsection (2) the following subsection:

“(2A)   On 31 December 1999 a public holiday is to be observed after midday.”.
