Holidays (Amendment) Ordinance 1982

Ordinance under the Seat of Government (Administration) Act 1910.

An Ordinance to amend the Holidays Ordinance 1958

Short title

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Holidays (Amendment) Ordinance

1982.1

Public holidays

2. Section 3 of the Holidays Ordinance 19582 is amended—

(a)

by inserting after sub-paragraph (1) (a) (vi) the following sub-paragraph:

2. No. 19,1958 as amended by No. 1,1980.

"(via) the second Monday in June (the day for the observance of

the anniversary of the birthday of the Sovereign);"; and

(b)

by omitting sub-paragraphs (1) (a) (ix) and (x) and substituting the following sub-paragraph:

"(ix) the twenty-sixth day of December (Boxing Day), or, if that

day falls on a Sunday or a Monday, the following day; and".
