An Act f __ _ , i .ri,`on to fc y c ° E" one seve ' y-three usand [ASSENTED TO 11TH APRIL, 1973] BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and. with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. Short title . This Act may be cited as the Holiday (Ttiuenty fourth day of April) Act 1973. 2. Holiday appointed . (1) Tuesday, the twenty-fourth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and seventy-three, shall be observed and kept throughout Queensland as a holiday.
Holiday (Twenty fourth day of April) Act 1973, No. 7 27 (2) The provisions of section 10 of The Holidays Acts 1912 to 1961 shall apply to and with respect to the holiday appointed to be observed and kept by subsection (1) and for that purpose Tuesday, the twenty-fourth day bf April, one thousand nine hundred and seventy-three, shall be deemed to be a holiday appointed by that Act. (3) The provisions of subsection (3) of section 14 of The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Acts 1961 to 1964 shall apply and extend to and with respect to the holiday appointed to be observed and kept by subsection (1) and for that purpose Tuesday, the twenty-fourth dray of April, one thousand nine hundred and seventy-three, shall be deemed to be a holiday named in the list of holidays set out in the provision of the said subsection (3) commencing with the words " All work done ". (4) The provisions of subsection (2) of section 61 of the Factories and Shops Act 1960-1970 shall apply to and with respect to the holiday appointed to be observed and kept by subsection (1) and for that purpose Tuesday, the twc.aty-fourth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and seventy-three, shall be deemed to be a holiday named in the list of holidays set out in the said subsection (2) and a holiday in respect whereof that subsection applies.
