AN ACT to amend the Hire-Purchase Act, 1959-1974.

[Assented to 21st October, 1976.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:-

Short title

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Hire- and

Purchase Act Amendment Act, 1976.	citation.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may

be cited as the Hire-Purchase Act, 1959-1976.

2. This Act shall come into operation on a date .n oenrffence-

to be fixed by proclamation.

Section 23C

amended. 3. Section 23C of the principal Act is amended by

adding at the end thereof a subsection as follows

(9) Notwithstanding any other provision of this Act, the Tribunal may, sitting in chambers at any time and place and without prior notice thereof to an applicant, grant a licence or renewal thereof, and where the Tribunal does so the Registrar shall forthwith deliver the licence or renewal, as the case may be, to the applicant. .
