Part 1 - Preliminary

1. Name of determination

This determination is the Higher Education Support (Maximum Payments for Other Grants) Determination (Amendment) 2017

1. Authority

This determination is made under subsection 41-45(1D) of the Act.

1. Commencement

This determination commences on the day after it is registered on the Federal Register of Legislation.

1. Amendment

The Higher Education Support (Maximum Payments for Other Grants) Determination 2016 under Division 41 for 2017(F2016L01996) is amended as described in Part 2, with effect from the date of the commencement of this determination.

1. Definition

In this determination:

Act means the Higher Education Support Act 2003.

2016 Determination means the Higher Education Support (Maximum Payments for Other Grants) Determination 2016

Part 2 – Maximum Payments for Other Grants

[1]        Variation to 2016 Determination

Paragraph 6(1)(b) of the 2016 Determination is repealed and replaced with:

(b)     for the purpose of item 13 of the table under subsection 41-45(1) of the Act, in respect of the year 2017, $1,668,348,000

Paragraph 6(1)(c) of the 2016 Determination is repealed and replaced with:

(c)     for the purpose of item 13 of the table under subsection 41-45(1) of the Act, in respect of the year 2018, $1,816,308,000
