Making of Guidelines pursuant to section 238-10 of the Higher Education Support Act 2003

I, BRENDAN NELSON, Minister for Education, Science and Training, pursuant to section 238-10 of the Higher Education Support Act 2003 ("the Act"), make the attached Commonwealth Grant Scheme Guidelines for the purposes of Part 2-2 and section 93-10 of the Act.

GUIDELINES FOR COMMONWEALTH GRANT SCHEME

(Amendment Number 3)

1. CITATION

These Guidelines may be cited as Amendment No. 3 to the Commonwealth Grant Scheme Guidelines.

1. AUTHORITY

These Guidelines are made under section 238-10 of the Higher Education Support Act 2003.

1. DATE OF EFFECT

Amendment No. 3 to the Commonwealth Grant Scheme Guidelines will commence when it is included on the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments.

PURPOSE

• The purpose of these guidelines is to amend the Commonwealth Grant Scheme Guidelines made on 2 June 2004 to include Tabor College and Christian Heritage College in the list of providers specified in paragraph 2.5.1 of the Guidelines so that these providers can receive funding for national priority places.

• The Commonwealth Grant Scheme Guidelines as amended by Amendment No. 3 to the Commonwealth Grant Scheme Guidelines are amended as follows:

ITEM 1

Amend paragraph 2.5.1 as follows:

After “(c) Bond University;” delete “and”

After “(d) Melbourne College of Divinity” delete “.” substitute “;”

Insert the following at the end of the paragraph:

“(e) Tabor College; and

(f) Christian Heritage College. “
