I, PHILIP MICHAEL JEFFERY, Governor‑General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council and under item 2 of the table in subsection 2 (1) of the Higher Education Legislation Amendment (2007 Measures No. 1) Act 2007, fix 31 December 2007 as the day on which Schedule 1 to that Act commences.
