s1 2 s3 Higher Education (General Provisions) Amendment (No. 1) No. 344, 2000 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Higher Education (General Provisions) Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2000 . ˙ Regulation amended 2. This regulation amends the HigherEducation(GeneralProvisions)Regulation 1996 . ˙ Insertion of new s 13B 3. Part 4A, after section 13A— insert — ˙ ‘ Waiver of examination fee ‘ 13B.(1) This section applies if the application— (a) is for the accreditation of a course proposed to be offered in 2 or more States; and (b) has been made in accordance with the MCEETYA procedures. ‘ (2) The Minister may waive payment of the fee mentioned in section 13A(2) or (3) if the Minister is not the receiving authority, for the application, under the MCEETYA procedures. ‘ (3) In this section— “MCEETYA procedures” means the procedures approved by the Ministerial Council on Education, Employment, Training and Youth Affairs for considering applications by non-university providers for the concurrent accreditation of courses, proposed to be offered in 2 or more States, leading to a higher education award.’.
