Rules Under The Judiciary Act 1903

As Amended

We, Justices of the High Court of Australia, hereby make the following Rules of Court under the Judiciary Act 1903 as amended.

AMENDMENT TO THE HIGH COURT RULES2

1. These Rules shall come into operation on the 1st July 1989

2. The High Court Rules are amended by omitting the Third Schedule and substituting the following Schedule:

For taxing a bill of costs for every $100.00 allowed or a fraction thereof These fees except where otherwise provided shall be taken on signing the certificate or on the allowance of the bill of costs as taxed but the fees shall be due and payable if no certificate or allocature is required on the amount of the bill as taxed or on the amount of such part thereof as may be taxed and the solicitor shall in such case pay the proper sum the amount whereof shall be fixed by the Taxing Officer.

For any document, memorandum, notice or service not elsewhere specified in the Schedule or covered by the payment of a Schedule fee, the Registrar may direct whether any and what fee is to be taken thereon.
