Editorial changes
The Legislation Act 2001, part 11.3 authorises the Parliamentary Counsel to make editorial amendments and other changes of a formal nature when preparing a law for republication. Editorial changes do not change the effect of the law, but have effect as if they had been made by an Act commencing on the republication date (see Legislation Act 2001, s 115 and s 117). The changes are made if the Parliamentary Counsel considers they are desirable to bring the law into line, or more closely into line, with current legislative drafting practice.
This republication does not include amendments made under part 11.3 (see endnote 1).

Name of regulation
This regulation is the Heavy Vehicle National Law (ACT) (Transitional Provisions) Regulation 2014.
Modification of Act, pt 6—Act, s 42 (2)
The Act, part 6 applies as if the following section were inserted:
‘42AModification—Crimes Act 1900
(1)The Crimes Act 1900 is modified as set out in the Heavy Vehicle National Law (ACT) (Transitional Provisions) Regulation 2014, schedule 1.
(2)This section expires on the day the Heavy Vehicle National Law (ACT) (Transitional Provisions) Regulation 2014 expires.’
Expiry—regulation
This regulation expires on the day the Heavy Vehicle National Law (ACT) Act 2013, part 6 expires.
Schedule 1Modification—Crimes Act 1900

(i)intends to serve an infringement notice under that Act or the Heavy Vehicle National Law (ACT), section 591 (1) (Infringement notices) for the offence on an offender; or
