Heavy Vehicle (Adoption of National Law) Amendment (Penalties) Regulation (No 2) 2016

His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following

Regulation under the Heavy Vehicle (Adoption of National Law) Act 2013.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to increase penalties payable for infringement notice offences, being offences against the Heavy Vehicle National Law (NSW), the Heavy Vehicle (Fatigue Management) National Regulation (NSW) and the Heavy Vehicle (Mass, Dimension and Loading) National Regulation (NSW), for which an infringement notice (also called a penalty notice) may be issued under the Heavy Vehicle National Law.

This Regulation is made under the Heavy Vehicle (Adoption of National Law) Act 2013, including sections 12 (6) and 28 (the local regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Heavy Vehicle (Adoption of National Law) Amendment
(Penalties) Regulation (No 2) 2016.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on 1 July 2016 and is required to be published on the
NSW legislation website.
