I, MARK BUTLER, Minister for Mental Health and Ageing, make this Determination under section 13 of the Hearing Services Administration Act 1997.

  1. Name of Determination

This Determination is the Hearing Services (Participants in the Voucher System) Amendment Determination 2013 (No. 1).

  1. Commencement

This Determination commences on 1 July 2013.

  1. Authority

This Determination is made under section 13 of the Hearing Services Administration Act 1997.

4              Amendment of Hearing Services (Participants in the Voucher System) Determination 1997

The Hearing Services (Participants in the Voucher System) Determination 1997 is amended as set out in the applicable items in Schedule 1, and any other item in Schedule 1 has effect according to its terms.

Schedule 1        Amendments

(section 4)

[1]           Section 5 (Table A, Class No.1)

omit the class, substitute

1(a)  Eligible persons each of whom, on or after 1 November 1997:

(i)      has not previously received a hearing service funded (wholly or in part) by the Commonwealth; or

(ii)    has previously received a hearing service funded (wholly or in part) by the Commonwealth

(b)   Eligible persons under subsection 4 (6) of the Hearing Services (Eligible Persons) Determination 1997

Note   The Hearing Services (Eligible Persons) Determination 1997 is made by the Minister under subsection 5 (3) of the Act.

omit the class, substitute

4     Eligible persons under the Hearing Services (Eligible Persons) Determination 1997 excluding those in the class specified in subsection 4 (6) of that Determination)

Note   The Hearing Services (Eligible Persons) Determination 1997 is made by the Minister under subsection 5 (3) of the Act.
