Regulations under the Health Services Act 2014

Part 1Preliminary matters 1Citation

These Regulations may be cited as the Health Services Regulations 2014.

2Commencement

These Regulations commence on the commencement of the Health Services Act 2014.

Part 2Establishment of Health Services 3Top End Health Service
  • (1)

    For section 17(1) of the Act, the Top End Health Service is established.

  • (2)

    The operational area for the Top End Health Service is that part of the Territory that lies to the north of the boundary line depicted in the Schedule, Part A and described in the Schedule, Part B.

4Central Australia Health Service
  • (1)

    For section 17(1) of the Act, the Central Australia Health Service is established.

  • (2)

    The operational area for the Central Australia Health Service is that part of the Territory that lies to the south of the boundary line depicted in the Schedule, Part A and described in the Schedule, Part B.

The boundary line is an imaginary line commencing at the most southern south-eastern corner of NT Portion 674, being a point on the Northern Territory / Queensland Border; then westerly and northerly by a northern and eastern boundary of NT Portion 2006 to its most northern north-eastern corner; then westerly and northerly by a southern, and the most western boundary of NT Portion 668 to the north eastern corner of NT Portion 1164; then westerly by the northern boundary of that NT Portion to the most southern, south-western corner of NT Portion 4319; then northerly, westerly, southerly and westerly to the south-western corner of NT Portion 5706; then northerly to the most north-eastern corner of NT Portion 702; then westerly, southerly, westerly, southerly and westerly to the most western, north-western corner of NT Portion 702; then southerly to the south-eastern corner of NT Portion 1077, then westerly along the southern boundary of NT Portion 1077, westerly across NT Portion 4274 and westerly by the southern boundary of NT Portion 342 and westerly to the most eastern corner of NT Portion 833; then generally north-westerly, generally westerly, northerly and westerly by the eastern and northern boundaries of NT Portion 833 to its north-western corner; then northerly by the eastern boundaries of NT Portions 851 and 3637 to the most eastern north-eastern corner of 3637; then westerly, northerly and westerly by a northern, eastern and the most northern boundary of NT Portion 3637 to its most north-western corner; then northerly by the western boundary of NT Portion 2725 to the southern boundary of NT Portion 2724 and most northerly north-eastern corner of NT Portion 851; then westerly to the north-western corner of NT Portion 851 by the northern boundary of NT Portion 851; then southerly by the western boundary of NT Portion 851, to its south-western corner of NT Portion 851 to the northern boundary of NT Portion 2845; then continuing in a southerly direction across part of NT Portion 2845 to its intersection with the eastern prolongation of the northern boundary of NT Portion 1493; then westerly by that prolongation, across part of NT Portion 2845, across part of NT Portion 1740 to the north‑eastern corner of NT Portion 1493; then westerly by the northern boundary of NT Portion 1493 to the north-western corner of NT Portion 1493; then westerly by the prolongation of the northern boundary of NT Portion 1493 across NT Portion 4198 to a point of intersection on the Northern Territory / Western Australia Border.
