2 Health Services (Public Hospitals) Fees and Charges Amendment (No. 1) No. 339, 1992 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Health Services (Public Hospitals) Fees and Charges Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 1992 . ˙ Amended regulation 2. The Health Services (Public Hospitals) Fees and Charges Regulation1992 is amended as set out in this regulation. ˙ Amendment of s.3 (Definitions) 3. Section 3— insert— ‘ “pensioner” has the meaning given by section 4(1) of the NationalHealth Act 1953 of the Commonwealth; ’. ˙ Insertion of new s.6A 4. After section 6— insert— ˙ ‘Prosthesis charges ‘6A.(1) An Authority may charge, for the provision in Queensland of a surgically implanted prosthesis to a privately insured pensioner with private patient status, the amount specified in subsection (2). ‘(2) The amount that may be charged is the amount specified in Schedule 1 of the Commonwealth Minister’s determination for the purposes of paragraph (dd) of the definition of “basic private table” under section 4(1) of the National Health Act 1953 of the Commonwealth for the provision in Queensland of— (a) the prosthesis; or (b) the class of prostheses in which the prosthesis is included. ’.
