Health Services (Justice and Forensic

Mental Health Network) Order 2012

under the

Health Services Act 1997

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of sections 43 and 44 (2) of the Health Services Act 1997, make the following Order.

Explanatory note
The objects of this Order are:

(a)	to amalgamate the Forensic Mental Health Network and Justice Health to form a specialty network governed health corporation called the Justice and Forensic Mental Health Network, and
(b)	to make consequential amendments to Schedule 2 to the Health Services Act 1997.

This Order is made under sections 43 and 44 (2) of the Health Services Act 1997.

1      Name of Order

This Order is the Health Services (Justice and Forensic Mental Health
Network) Order 2012.

2      Commencement

This Order commences on 30 March 2012 and is required to be published on the NSW legislation website.

3      Amalgamation of Forensic Mental Health Network and Justice Health

The Forensic Mental Health Network and Justice Health are amalgamated to form the Justice and Forensic Mental Health Network.

4 Amendment of Health Services Act 1997 No 154

(1) Schedule 2 Statutory health corporations

Omit the matter relating to the Forensic Mental Health Network.

(2)	Schedule 2
Omit the matter relating to Justice Health. Insert instead:
Justice and Forensic Mental Health Specialty network
Network

5      Transitional provision

The Justice and Forensic Mental Health Network is taken for all purposes to be the successor of both the Forensic Mental Health Network and Justice Health.
