Made by the Minister.

1.Citation

This order is the Health Services (Health Service Providers) Amendment Order (No. 3) 2024.

2.Commencement

This order comes into operation as follows —

  • (a)

    clauses 1 and 2 — on the day on which this order is published on the WA legislation website;

  • (b)

    the rest of the order — on the day after that day.

3.Order amended

This order amends the Health Services (Health Service Providers) Order 2016.

4.Clause 7 amended
  • (1)

    In clause 7(g) delete “outpatient services for the treatment, surveillance and prevention of tuberculosis” and insert:

     

services for the treatment, surveillance, prevention and control of tuberculosis and leprosy

  • (2)

    In clause 7(h) delete “Service).” and insert:

     

Service);

  • (3)

    After clause 7(h) insert:

     
    • (i)

      the provision on a statewide basis of clinical genomic services, including clinical assessment, diagnosis, genetic counselling, advice, information and access to genomic testing (Genetic Health WA);

    • (j)

      the prevention and control of notifiable infectious diseases (as defined in the Public Health Act 2016 section 4(1)) in the metropolitan area (Boorloo (Perth) Public Health Unit);

    • (k)

      the provision on a statewide basis of services for persons who have an acquired brain injury, including clinical therapy and support, the coordination of care services and providing education to patients (State Head Injury Unit).

       
    5.Schedule 2 Division 2 amended

Delete Schedule 2 Division 2 item 5 and insert:
