Health Services (Health Education and

Training Institute) Order 2012

under the

Health Services Act 1997

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of sections 42, 43, 44 (2) and 131 of the Health Services Act 1997, make the following Order.

Explanatory note
The objects of this Order are:

(a)	to dissolve the statutory health corporation called the Clinical Education and Training Institute, and
(b)	to constitute a chief executive governed health corporation to be called the Health Education and Training Institute, and
(c)	to provide for the transfer of the assets, rights and liabilities of the Clinical Education and Training Institute to the Health Education and Training Institute, and
(d)	to make consequential amendments to Schedule 2 to the Health Services Act 1997.

This Order is made under sections 42, 43, 44 (2) and 131 of the Health Services Act 1997.

1      Name of Order

This Order is the Health Services (Health Education and Training
Institute) Order 2012.

2      Commencement

This Order commences on 2 April 2012 and is required to be published on the NSW legislation website.

3      Dissolution of Clinical Education and Training Institute

The Clinical Education and Training Institute is dissolved.

4 Amendment of Health Services Act 1997 No 154

(1) Schedule 2 Statutory health corporations

Omit the matter relating to the Clinical Education and Training

Institute.

(2)	Schedule 2
Insert in alphabetical order by name of statutory health corporation in Columns 1 and 2, respectively:
Health Education and Training Institute Chief executive

5      Transfer of assets, rights and liabilities of Clinical Education and Training Institute

The assets, rights and liabilities of the Clinical Education and Training Institute are transferred to the Health Education and Training Institute.

6      Transitional provision

The Health Education and Training Institute is taken for all purposes to be the successor of the Clinical Education and Training Institute.
