Health Services (Fees and Charges) Amendment

Order (No. 3) 2020

Made by the Minister under section 56 of the Act.

1.   Citation

This order is the Health Services (Fees and Charges)

Amendment Order (No. 3) 2020.

2.   Commencement

This order comes into operation as follows —

(a)

clauses 1 and 2— on the day on which this order is published in the Gazette;

(b) the rest of the order — on the day after that day.
3. Order amended
Schedule 1 Division 5 applies; or" and insert: to which a charge under clause 9 applies; or

This order amends the Health Services (Fees and Charges)

Order 2016.

4.            Clause 5 amended

In clause 5(2)(b) delete "to which a fee or charge set out in
Schedule 1 Division 5 applies; or" and insert:

to which a charge under clause 9 applies; or

5.            Clause 6 amended

In clause 6(2)(b) delete "to which a fee or charge set out in

6. Clause 9 amended

( 1 ) In clause 9(1) insert in alphabetical order:

adult chargeable patient means a chargeable patient

who has reached 18 years of age;

child chargeable patient means a chargeable patient

who is under 18 years of age.

(2) In clause 9(1) in the definition of chargeable patient
paragraph (i) delete "patient." and insert:
patient;
(3) Delete clause 9(2) and (3) and insert:
(2) The charge for the supply of a specialised orthosis to
an adult chargeable patient or a child chargeable patient
is to be of an amount determined by the Department
CEO according to the cost of supplying the specialised
orthosis.
(3) The Department CEO must ensure that a determination
made under subclause (2) is publicly available.

7.           Schedule 1 amended

Delete Schedule 1 Division 5.
