Health Services (Conduct and Traffic) Amendment Regulations 2024

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.Citation

These regulations are the Health Services (Conduct and Traffic) Amendment Regulations 2024.

2.Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

• (a)

  regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published on the WA legislation website;

• (b)

  the rest of the regulations — on 20 December 2024.

3.Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Health Services (Conduct and Traffic) Regulations 2016.

4.Regulation 7 amended

In regulation 7(1) in the definition of prohibited item after paragraph (d) insert:

• (da)

  an article with a sharpened edge, that is reasonably capable of being held in 1 or both hands, and that is made or modified to be used —

• (i)

  to injure or disable a person; or

• (ii)

  to cause a person to fear that someone will be injured or disabled by that use; or

• (iii)

  for attack or defence in the practice of a martial sport, art or similar discipline;

or
