Health Services Amendment (NSW Kids and

Families) Order 2015

I, the Honourable Thomas Frederick Bathurst AC, Lieutenant-Governor of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, on the recommendation of the Minister for Health, and in pursuance of sections 42–44 of the Health Services Act 1997, make the following Order.

Explanatory note
The objects of this Order are as follows:

(a)

to dissolve NSW Kids and Families as a statutory health corporation under the Health Services Act 1997,

(b)

to transfer the assets, rights and liabilities of NSW Kids and Families to the Health Administration Corporation,

(c)

to remove, consequentially, NSW Kids and Families from the list of statutory health corporations in Schedule 2 to the Health Services Act 1997.

This Order is made under sections 42 (a), 43 (1) (a) and 44 (2) of the Health Services Act 1997.

1      Name of Order

This Order is the Health Services Amendment (NSW Kids and Families) Order 2015.

2      Commencement

This Order commences on 31 October 2015 and is required to be published on the
NSW legislation website.

3      Dissolution of NSW Kids and Families as statutory health corporation

NSW Kids and Families is dissolved.

4      Transfer of assets, rights and liabilities of NSW Kids and Families

The assets, rights and liabilities of NSW Kids and Families are transferred to the
Health Administration Corporation.

Schedule 2 Statutory health corporations

Omit the matter relating to NSW Kids and Families.
