Health Services Amendment (Local

Health Network Areas) Order 2011

under the

Health Services Act 1997

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 19 of the Health Services Act 1997, make the following Order.

Explanatory note
The object of this Order is to amend Schedule 1 to the Health Services Act 1997:

(a)	to add a part of the area currently forming part of the area of the Western NSW Local Health Network to the area of Murrumbidgee Local Health Network, and
(b)	to add a part of the area currently forming part of the area of the Hunter New England Local Health Network to the area of Northern NSW Local Health Network.

The areas concerned are described in clause 12 of the Health Services Regulation 2008 (as amended by the Health Services Amendment (Local Health Network Areas) Regulation 2011) in accordance with section 18 (2) of the Health Services Act 1997.

This Order is made under section 19 of the Health Services Act 1997.

1      Name of Order

This Order is the Health Services Amendment (Local Health Network
Areas) Order 2011.

2      Commencement

This Order commences on 4 March 2011 and is required to be published on the NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Health Services Act 1997 No 154

(1) Schedule 1 Names and areas of local health networks

Omit “Tenterfield,” from Column 2 of the matter relating to the Hunter

New England Local Health Network.

Insert instead “Tenterfield (part),”.

(2)	Schedule 1
Insert “Lachlan (part),” after “Junee,” in Column 2 of the matter relating to the Murrumbidgee Local Health Network.
(3)	Schedule 1
Omit “Lachlan,” from Column 2 of the matter relating to the Western NSW Local Health Network.
Insert instead “Lachlan (part),”.
(4)	Schedule 1
Insert “Tenterfield (part),” after “Richmond Valley,” in Column 2 of the matter relating to the Northern NSW Local Health Network.
