Health Services Amendment (Affiliated

Health Organisations) Order 2009

under the

Health Services Act 1997

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 62 of the Health Services Act 1997, make the following Order.

Explanatory note
The object of this Order is to amend Schedule 3 (Affiliated health organisations) to the Health

Services Act 1997:

(a)

to omit Australian Red Cross Society, Buckland Convalescent Hospital Ltd, Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia (South Eastern Section), St Anthony’s and St Joseph’s Centre of Care Ltd and The Trustees of the Roman Catholic Church for the diocese of Lismore from the list of affiliated health organisations and to omit each recognised establishment or service relating to those organisations, and

(b)

to omit Eversleigh Hospital, Petersham and Babworth House (After Care Unit), Darling Point from the list of recognised establishments or services, and

(c)

to insert Northern Beaches Palliative Care Service as a recognised service in relation to Hope Healthcare Ltd, and

(d)

to update references to a number of affiliated health organisations and recognised establishments or services to reflect changes in names.

This Order is made under section 62 (2) of the Health Services Act 1997.

1      Name of Order

This Order is the Health Services Amendment (Affiliated Health
Organisations) Order 2009.

2      Commencement

This Order commences on the day on which it is published in the
Gazette.
