Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to extend until 1 September 2012 the operation of the electronic health record pilot program (which provides for the electronic recording of health information about certain people and the sharing of that information between health practitioners engaged in the care of those people).

This Regulation is made under the Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002, including section 75 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Health Records and Information Privacy
Amendment (Pilot Program Extension) Regulation 2011.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the
NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Health Records and Information Privacy Regulation 2006

Clause 3 Electronic health record pilot program

Omit “1 September 2011” from clause 3 (3).
Insert instead “1 September 2012”.
