An Ordinance to amend the Health Professions Boards (Procedures)

Ordinance 1981

Short title

(Procedures) (Amendment) Ordinance 1983.1 1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Health Professions Boards

Boards (Procedures) Ordinance >981.2 2. In this Ordinance, "Principal Ordinance" means the Health Professions
3. After section 22 of the Principal Ordinance the following section is

inserted in Part IV:

Minister may direct Board to conduct proceeding
"22A. (1) The Minister may, oy notice in writing to the Chairman or, in
the absence of the Chairman, to the Deputy Chairman of a Board, direct that

the Board conduct a proceeding in relation to the matter specified in the notice

"(2) Where the Minister gives a direction under sub-section (1) that a
Board conduct a proceeding, the Board shall conduct the proceeding

"(3) Nothing in this section shall be construed as limiting the power of a Board to conduct a proceeding without a direction being given by the Minister under sub-section (1).".

Impartiality of Boards

4. Section 41 of the Principal Ordinance is amended by omitting "A" and

substituting "Subject to this Ordinance, a".
