(Amendment) Regulations 2000

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1. Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to prescribe the quality assurance committee established by section 106AC of the Mental Health Act 1986 as a prescribed consultative council for the purposes of section 24A of the Health Act 1958.

2. Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 390(1) of the Health Act 1958.

3. Amendment to objective of the Principal Regulations

In regulation 1(b) of the Health (Prescribed
Consultative Councils) Regulations 19951, after
"Committee" insert "and the quality assurance
committee established by section 106AC of the
Mental Health Act 1986".

In the Schedule to the Health (Prescribed
Consultative Councils) Regulations 1995, after

"The Medicines Evaluation Committee" insert—

"The quality assurance committee established by section

106AC of the Mental Health Act 1986".
