Regulation under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (NSW).

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to prescribe the membership of the Paramedicine Council of New South sections 41E and 247A (the general regulation-making power).

1 Name of Regulation
This Regulation is the Health Practitioner Regulation (New South Wales)
Amendment (Paramedicine Council) Regulation 2017.
2 Commencement
This Regulation commences on 8 January 2018 and is required to be published on the
NSW legislation website.

Part 10 Paramedicine Council of New South Wales
14 Membership of Paramedicine Council
(1) The Paramedicine Council of New South Wales consists of 6 members
appointed by the Governor.(2) The members are to be:
(a) 4 registered paramedics whose principal place of practice is in the State, and (b) 1 person, who is not a paramedic, nominated by the Minister to represent the community, and (c) 1 Australian lawyer nominated by the Minister. (3) A reference in subclause (2) (a) to a registered paramedic extends to include a person who holds the qualifications set out in clause 19A of the Health Services Regulation 2013 but ceases to include any such person 90 days after the repeal of that clause.
