Health Practitioner Regulation National Law Amendment (Professional Indemnity Insurance) Regulation 2023

Made by the Ministerial Council on 10 November 2023 under section 245 of the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law as applied by the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (Western Australia).

1.Short title

This Regulation may be cited as the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law Amendment (Professional Indemnity Insurance) Regulation 2023.

2.Commencement

This Regulation commences—

• (a)

  for Western Australia—on the day after the day this Regulation is published on the WA legislation website, as defined in section 8 of the Legislation Act 2021 of Western Australia, and

• (b)

  for all other participating jurisdictions—on the day it is published by the Victorian Government Printer.

3.Regulation amended

This Regulation amends the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law Regulation 2018.

4.Amendment of s 40 Transition period in relation to professional indemnity insurance arrangements for midwives practising private midwifery

Section 40, ‘31 December 2023’—

omit, insert—
