Health (Notification of Adverse Event After

Immunization) Amendment Regulations 2000

Made by the Administrator in Executive Council.

1.             Citation

These regulations may be cited as the Health (Notification of
Adverse Event After Immunization) Amendment Regulations 2000.

2.             Regulation 2 amended

Regulation 2 of the Health (Notification of Adverse Event After
Immunization) Regulations 1995* is amended as follows:

(a) in the definition of “adverse event after immunization” —

(i) by inserting after “means” —
“ an event that ”;

(ii)      by deleting paragraphs (a) to (d), and “or” after paragraph (c), and inserting instead —

“

(a) is of a kind listed in Appendix 7 of the
National Health and Medical Research

Immunisation Handbook 7th Edition”; and

(b) occurs following the administration of a vaccine to a person.

(b) by deleting the definition of “immunization”.
