Part 1 Health Legislation Amendment Regulation (No. 3) 2014 Part 1 Preliminary [s 1] Preliminary 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Health Legislation Amendment Regulation (No. 3) 2014 . Part 2 Amendment of Health Practitioners (Special Events Exemption) Regulation 2009 2 Regulation amended This part amends the Health Practitioners (Special Events Exemption) Regulation 2009. 3 Replacement of s 2 (Declaration of Nikon SuperGP as special event) Section 2 omit, insert— 2 Declaration of G20 meeting as special event (1) The G20 meeting is declared to be a special event for the Act. (2) The exemption under the Act for the event has effect for the period starting on 18 September 2014 and ending on 17 November 2014. Health Legislation Amendment Regulation (No. 3) 2014 Part 3 Amendment of Research Involving Human Embryos and Prohibition of HumanCloning Regulation 2003 [s 4] Part 3 Amendment of Research Involving Human Embryos and Prohibition of Human Cloning Regulation 2003 4 Regulation amended This part amends the ResearchInvolvingHumanEmbryosand Prohibition of Human Cloning Regulation 2003. 5 Replacement of s 3 (Prescribed guidelines to which NHMRC Licensing Committee must have regard—Act, s 29) Section 3— omit, insert— 3 Prescribed guidelines to which NHMRC Licensing Committee must have regard—Act, s 29 The following guidelines issued by the NHMRC under the National Health and Medical Research Council Act 1992 (Cwlth) are prescribed for section 29(4)(c) of the Act— (a) ‘Ethical Guidelines on the Use of Assisted Reproductive Technology in Clinical Practice and Research’; (b) ‘National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research’. Health Legislation Amendment Regulation (No. 3) 2014 Part 4 Amendment of Tobacco and Other Smoking Products Regulation 2010 [s 6] Part 4 Amendment of Tobacco and Other Smoking Products Regulation 2010 6 Regulation amended This part amends the TobaccoandOtherSmokingProductsRegulation 2010. 7 Amendment of s 1A (Definitions) Section 1A, ‘Act’— omit, insert regulation 8 Amendment of s 8 (Form of mandatory sign—Act, ss 26HC and 26IF) Section 8(1)(b), ‘Maximum penalty $42,000’— omit, insert— Penalties apply 9 Insertion of new pt 7 After section 17— insert— Part 7 Transitional provision 18 Transitional provision for form of mandatory sign Despite section 8(1)(b), a mandatory sign may display the words ‘Maximum penalty $42,000’ in the place of the words ‘Penalties apply’ until 30 June 2015. 2014 SL No. 201 Page 5
