Part 1 Health Legislation Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2008 Part 1 Preliminary [s 1] Preliminary 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Health Legislation Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2008 . Part 2 Amendment of Health Services Regulation 2002 2 Regulation amended in pt 2 This part amends the Health Services Regulation 2002 . 3 Amendment of s 33A (Specified information to be given to the chief health officer) Section 33A, ‘chief health officer’— omit, insert— ‘chief executive’. Part 3 Amendment of Pest Management Regulation 2003 4 Regulation amended in pt 3 This part amends the Pest Management Regulation 2003 . 5 Insertion of new s 3E Part 1A— 2008 SL No. 9 Page 3
Health Legislation Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2008 Part 4 Amendment of Physiotherapists Registration Regulation 2001 [s 6] insert— ‘3E Exemption for installing laminated blankets—Act, s 10 ‘(1) An exempted pest management activity carried out by an accredited installer is exempted from section 11 and part 2, division 12 of the Act. ‘(2) In this section— accredited installer means a person who is accredited by TMA for installing laminated blankets. exempted pest management activity means a pest management activity involving the installation of a laminated blanket. laminated blanket means a synthetic fibre blanket manufactured by TMA that is— (a) impregnated with deltamethrin at a concentration not more than 1g/m 2 ; and (b) laminated with polyethylene. TMA means TMA Corporation Pty Ltd ACN 009 452 475.’. Health Legislation Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2008 Part 4 Amendment of Physiotherapists Registration Regulation 2001 [s 7] insert— ‘7A Waiver of fees—person registered under equivalent interstate law ‘(1) This section applies to a person who is registered under a law of another State that provides for the same matter as the Act. ‘(2) Subsection (3) applies if the person— (a) applies to the board for registration as a general registrant; and (b) indicates in the application that the person will be practising the profession in Queensland only to a limited extent. ‘(3) The board may waive payment of the application fee and registration fee if the board is satisfied it is appropriate to do so having regard to the likely extent of the person’s practise of the profession in Queensland. ‘(4) Subsection (5) applies if the person— (a) is a general registrant; and (b) applies to the board for renewal of the general registration; and (c) indicates in the application that the person will be practising the profession in Queensland only to a limited extent. ‘(5) The board may waive payment of the registration fee if the board is satisfied it is appropriate to do so having regard to the likely extent of the person’s practise of the profession in Queensland.’. 2008 SL No. 9 Page 5
