Health Insurance (Variation of Fees and Medical
Services) (No. 27) Regulations

the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive
Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Health Insurance
Act 1973.

Citation
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Health
Insurance (Variation of Fees and Medical Services) (No. 27) Regulations.
Commencement
2. These Regulations shall come into operation
on 1 January 1983.
Amendment
of Schedule to Health Insurance (Variation of Fees and
Medical Services) (No. 26) Regulations
3. The Schedule to the Health Insurance
(Variation of Fees and Medical Services) (No. 26) Regulations is amended as set
out in the Schedule to these Regulations.

AMENDMENTS OF THE SCHEDULE TO THE HEALTH INSURANCE (VARIATION OF FEES
AND MEDICAL SERVICES) (NO. 26) REGULATIONS
AMENDMENT OF THE RULES
FOR THE INTERPRETATION OF THE TABLE OF MEDICAL BENEFITS
After
Rule 22 insert the following rule:
“22A. In item 793 ‘group of practitioners’ has the
same meaning as in section 16A.”
AMENDMENTS OF THE TABLE OF MEDICAL SERVICES
1.
Omit
items 792, 794, 797 and 803, substitute the following items:
“791 | Ultrasonic cross-sectional
echography, not associated with Item 793, 794 or 913, where the patient is
not referred by a medical practitioner for ultrasonic examination-each ultrasonic
examination not exceeding two examinations in any one pregnancy
