Health Insurance Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council and in pursuance of section 4 of the Acts Interpretation Act 1901,hereby make the following Regulations under the Health Insurance Act 1973.

Commencement

1. These Regulations shall come into operation on 1 March 1984.

Principal Regulations

2. In these Regulations, “Principal Regulations” means the Health Insurance Regulations.

3. After regulation 2ad of the Principal Regulations the following regulation is inserted:

“2adaa. Each item the number of which is referred to in Schedule 5 is a prescribed item for the purposes of paragraph 17 (1) (aa) of the Act.”.

Schedule 4

4. The heading to Schedule 4 to the Principal Regulations is omitted and the following heading substituted:

“NUMBERS OF ITEMS PRESCRIBED FOR THE PURPOSES OF SUB-SECTION 33 (12) OF THE ACT”

New Schedule Added

5. The Principal Regulations are amended by adding at the end thereof the following Schedule:
