Health Insurance Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Health Insurance Act 1973.

1.   Amendment

1.1   The Health Insurance Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

 These Regulations commence on gazettal: see Acts Interpretation Act 1901, s. 48.]

2.   Regulation 23B (Criteria in relation to quality assurance activities)

2.1   Omit “paragraph 106L (3) (b)”, substitute “paragraph 124X (3) (b)”.

3.    Regulation 23E (Criteria in relation to quality assurance activities: activities that have not been engaged in previously in Australia)

3.1   Paragraph 23E (1) (a):

Omit “subsection 106L (1)”, substitute “subsection 124X (1)”.

4.    Regulation 23F (Criteria in relation to quality assurance activities: activities that have been engaged in previously in Australia)

4.1   Paragraph 23F (1) (a):

Omit “subsection 106L (1)”, substitute “subsection 124X (1)”.

5.    Regulation 23G (Criteria in relation to quality assurance activities: review procedures)

5.1   Subregulation 23G (3) (definition of “health care practitioner”):

Omit “subsection 106K (1)”, substitute “subsection 124W (1)”.
