1  Name

This instrument is the Health Insurance (General Practice COVID-19 Management Support Service) Amendment (No. 1) Determination 2021.

2  Commencement

(1)       Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

This instrument is made under subsection 3C(1) of the Health Insurance Act 1973.

Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

Schedule 1— Amendments

Health Insurance (General Practice COVID-19 Management Support Service) Determination 2021

1. Section 7

Repeal the section, substitute:

7.  Application of COVID-19 management support service

1. An item in the Schedule only applies to a service if the attendance is performed in person by the medical practitioner.

1. An item in the Schedule only applies to a service if it is performed in association with a service to which any of the following items applies:

(a)an item in Group A1, A2, A11, A22 or A23 of the general medical services table;

(b)an item in subgroup 2 or 10 of Group A7 of the Health Insurance (Section 3C General Medical Services – Other Medical Practitioner) Determination 2018;

(c)an item in subgroup 2, 3, or 4 of Group A35 of the general medical services table.
