1Name

This is the Health Insurance (General Medical Services Table) Amendment (Duration of Attendance) Regulation 2014.

2Commencement

This instrument commences on 19 January 2015.

3Authority

This instrument is made under the Health Insurance Act 1973.

4Schedules

Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

Schedule 1—Amendments

Health Insurance (General Medical Services Table) Regulation 2014

1  Schedule 1 (item 3, column headed “Description”)

Omit “at consulting rooms (other than a service to which another item applies) by a general practitioner”, substitute “by a general practitioner at consulting rooms (other than a service to which another item applies), lasting less than 10 minutes,”.

2  Schedule 1 (item 23, column headed “Description”)

After “lasting”, insert “at least 10 minutes and”.

3  Schedule 1 (item 5000, column headed “Description”)

Omit “at consulting rooms (other than a service to which another item applies) by a general practitioner”, substitute “by a general practitioner at consulting rooms (other than a service to which another item applies), lasting less than 10 minutes,”.

4  Schedule 1 (item 5020, column headed “Description”)

After “lasting”, insert “at least 10 minutes and”.
