of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under
the

Regulation 4 of the Health Insurance Commission Regulations is repealed and the following regulations are substituted:
“4. (1) In this
regulation, ‘Repatriation
Commission’ means the Repatriation
Commission established under section 7 of the
“(2) For the purposes of sub-section 8e (1) of the Act, the following functions are prescribed, namely, to process, on behalf of the Repatriation Commission, claims for payment submitted to the Repatriation Commission in respect of the provision of medical treatment to persons under Part IV of the Repatriation Regulations and to prepare, on behalf of the Repatriation Commission, cheques for the payment of those claims.
“4a. Part V of the Act is, in connection with the application of its provisions to the activities of the Commission in the performance of the functions referred to in sub-regulation 4 (2), modified by inserting in that Part before section 33 the following section:

‘32a. In the provisions (other than sections 33 and 34) of this Part, a reference, in relation to the Commission, to the performance of its medicare functions includes a reference to the performance of the functions referred to in sub-regulation 4 (2) of the Health Insurance Commission Regulations.’.”.
