Health Insurance Commission Amendment Act 1993 (Cth)

The Parliament of Australia enacts:
Short title etc.
1 .( 1 ) This Act may be cited as theHealth Insurance Commission Amendment Act 1993.
( 2 ) In this Act,“Principal Act” means theHealth Insurance Commission Act 1973 1 .
Commencement
2. This Act commences on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.
3. After Part IIA of the Principal Act the following Part is inserted:
“
Child care costs rebate functions “8BA. The Commission’s functions include:
(a) planning and establishing a scheme under which the payment of rebates for child care costs may be made; and
(b) such functions in relation to the administration of the scheme as are conferred on it by an Act relating to such a scheme.”.
