An Act to amend section 3 of the Health Insurance Act 1973.

BE IT ENACTED by the Queen, and the Senate and House of

Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, as follows:

Short title, 1.(1) This Act may be cited as the Health Insurance Amendment

&c. Act (No. 1) 1979.1

(2) The Health Insurance Act 19732 is in this Act referred to as the

Principal Act.

2. This Act shall come into operation on 1 November 1979.

3. Section 3 of the Principal Act is amended—

(a)	by inserting in sub-paragraph (i) of paragraph (a) of the definition of "eligible pensioner" in sub-section (1) ", a sup- porting parent's benefit" after "widow's pension"; and
(b)	by inserting in sub-paragraph (ii) of paragraph (a) of that definition ", benefit" after "pension".
