Determination made under subsection 3(1)

(HIB 17/2007)

I, Peter Callanan, delegate of the Minister for Health and Ageing, pursuant to the powers under paragraph (b) of the definition of ‘patient contribution’ in subsection 3(1) of the Health Insurance Act 1973 (the Act):

(1) REVOKE all previous determinations made under paragraph (b) of the definition of ‘patient contribution’ in subsection 3(1) of the Act in respect of recognized hospitals in Tasmania.

  1. DETERMINE for the purposes of paragraph (b) of the definition of ‘patient contribution’ in subsection 3(1) of the Act, that the amount of patient contribution is $39.05 per day in respect of recognized hospitals in
    Tasmania.

(3)  This determination takes effect on 20 September 2007.
