HEALTH INSURANCE ACT 1973

Determination made under subsection 3(1)

I, Peter Callanan, delegate of the Minister for Health and Ageing, pursuant to the powers under paragraph (c) of the definition of ‘patient contribution’ in subsection 3(1) of the Health Insurance Act 1973 (the Act):

(1) REVOKE all previous determinations made under paragraph (c) of the definition of ‘patient contribution’ in subsection 3(1) of the Act in respect of recognised hospitals in the Australian Capital Territory.

1. DETERMINE for the purposes of paragraph (c) of the definition of ‘patient contribution’ in subsection 3(1) of the Act, that the amount of patient contribution is $39.70 per day in respect of recognised hospitals in the Australian Capital Territory.

(3)  This determination takes effect on 1 July 2008.
